Idea
Will feeling I have enough make me lose motivation to work?
Short answer
In the narrator’s journey, feeling enough accompanies continued living, creativity and planning. The book asks what remains worth doing when we depend less on proving our own worth.
Chapter 14 describes the narrator continuing to work and create while chasing others’ attention less. In Chapter 20, money and plans remain, even though the sense of success has changed. One application is to reconsider a current goal: what need or value does it serve, and which pressures come from comparison? You might retain the goal while adjusting your pace or measures. In this reading, feeling enough creates an opportunity to examine motivation. This is a line of reflection from the work rather than a prediction that everyone’s motivation will change like the narrator’s. Read both chapters within the book’s dialogue and consider what fits your circumstances.
